Manchester United won their Champions League qualifying tie comfortably with a 4-0 away win against Club Brugge in Belgium. The Manchester United fans were in good spirit and following a slip by a steward who had come to escort a pitch invader back, they broke into a funny chant in reference to the infamous slip by Liverpool FC captain Steven Gerrard.


Manchester United and Liverpool FC are fierce rivals. Naturally, when the Merseyside oufit were on the verge of their first league title in over two decades in 2013-14, Manchester United fans were not too pleased.

However, in a crunch game against Chelsea FC which Liverpool needed to just draw, Steven Gerrard slipped and allowed Demba Ba to score. Chelsea FC went on to win the the game and Liverpool missed out on the title again.

Fast forward a couple of seasons to when Manchester United played Brugges, last night. An invader ran onto the pitch with a steward then coming to escort him back.

However, the steward slipped and the Manchester United fans broke into a hilarious rendition of ‘are you Gerrard in disguise’ as per a tweet.
