Real Madrid edged Granada 1-0 to go top of La Liga for at least 24 hours courtesy of a Karim Benzema header from an Isco free-kick. Rafael Benitez’s Real Madrid have now scored 16 goals this season, conceding none in six games in all competition.

Following a slow start, Real Madrid are picking up steam and the Los Blancos edged out Granada to record their fifth straight win in all competition despite mounting injury problems.

Karim Benzema was the star this time, as the French player scored a header 10 minutes in the second half from an Isco free-kick.

Real Madrid will remain on top of the table if Barcelona fail to beat Levante at home on Sunday.

The highlights of their win over Granada can be seen below.
