Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is all but resigned to the departure of Morgan Schneiderlin before the start of the season, but, Manchester United have been warned the France international will not be cheap by the Dutchman.
The future of M0rgran Schneiderlin has been under intense speculation with the player being pursued by both, Arsenal FC and Manchester United.
And according to reports in the Guardian, Manchester United are poised to make a second bid for Morgan Schneiderlin after Southampton rejected an opening offer of around A?20m for the midfielder with manager Ronald Koeman increasingly resigned to losing the midfielder.
a Every player has his price and we have experience as a club of selling players,a Koeman said.
a Last season we sold some players, and if there is interest in Morgan then OK. But it has to be at the price the club wants. He is one of the key players or our team, an international player. And I dona t think is a problem for Manchester United.a
Fresh report in the Guardian says:
United want to secure Schneiderlin before their tour to the United States and for which they depart on 13 July but will have to up their bid to nearer A?27m to stand any chance of securing the 25-year-old midfielder.
Morgan Schneiderlin was absent through illness at Southampton’s Staplewood training base on Monday, but, is due to travel with the squad for their get-together in Austria.
However, one stumbling block for Manchester United could be if Arsenal FC decide to match their offer with the player reportedly preferring a move to the London side to play under fellow Frenchman Arsene Wenger as per reports.
