Real Madrid have decided to offer Sami Khedira to Borussia Dortmund in exchange for Marco Reus.

Real Madrid are hot on trail of Marco Reus and they are confident of beating the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich for the signature of Borussia Dortmund attacker.

Reports in Spain had claimed it earlier that Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Marco Reus. However, no deal has been made yet but Real Madrid are confident of getting their man in the summer.

Real Madrid management is reluctant to offer an extension to Sami Khedira as the concerns over his fitness still remain. Real Madrid are also well stocked in midfield as they have the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Isco and Asier Illaramendi in their squad.

The Los Blancos management has identified a solution to this problem concerning the future of Sami Khedira. Real Madrid have offered the midfielder to Borussia Dortmund, in exchange of Marco Reus.

Meanwhile, reports coming from Spain and Germany have also confirmed the plans of Real Madrid to send Sami Khedira to Germany to get Marco Reus. El Confidencial has claimed in its report that Real Madrid want to fund the deal of Marco Reus by the sale of Sami Khedira.

The contract of Sami Khedira is set to expire in 2017. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti had claimed it earlier that he wants the player to sign the extension but no progress has been made as both the parties to unwilling to open the talks. The central midfielder is almost certain to leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window now. Host of top European clubs, including Arsenal and Bayern Munich, are interested in his signature.

The situation of Marco Reus at Borussia Dortmund is quite similar to that of Sami Khedira at Real Madrid.

Marco Reus’ contract at Borussia Dortmund is going to expire in 2017. The Signal Iduna Park side has made many attempts to persuade Marco Reus to sign the extension but the player has made up his mind. He wants to leave the club.

Buy-out clause of Marco Reus comes to just 25 million euros in this summer and Real Madrid are desperate to activate the clause.

Real Madrid value Sami Khedira at around 17-19 million euros. The management of Real Madrid believe that they can persuade Borussia Dortmund to take this swap deal, which is beneficial to both the clubs.
