After Real Madrid sacked Carlo Ancelotti, the Italiana s agent has suggested that Napoli coach Rafael Benitez is set to take up the vacant position.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez announced his decision to sack Carlo Ancelotti on Monday. The Italian was sacked after winning four trophies for the club including the Champions League and the Copa Del Rey. The former Chelsea boss was in-charge at the club for only two seasons and was sacked after ending the second season without winning a trophy.

It is now being believed that Rafael Benitez is set to replace Ancelotti after his current club Napolia s last game which will be played on Sunday. Carlo Ancelottia s agent has went ahead to say that the former Liverpool and Chelsea manager is 99% sure to take up the Real Madrid job.

Benitez has good relations with the club having coached all except the senior side early in his career. The Spaniard also has enough experience in La Liga having won the league twice with Valencia. He is currently plying his trade in Italy since 2013 and has won the Coppa Italia last season with Napoli.

On the other hand, Ancelotti is set to take a year-long sabbatical to have a back surgery done despite interest from AC Milan.

His agent said: a As of right now, Ancelotti wants to take a yeara s break. Thata s his intention. At Real Madrid you can be sacked if you dona t win any trophies in a season.a
