Speaking ahead of the pre-season friendly tournament that is to be held at Munich, Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez dismissed rumours surrounding Manchester Uniteda s interest in Gareth Bale . and Arsenala s interest in Karim Benzema while remaining mum over the future of David De Gea.
In Munich for the Audi Cup, Rafa Benitez categorically denied any inclination to part with Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema as Real Madrid gear up for their upcoming season.
I can’t see any reason why Benzema would leave
Karim Benzema has been reportedly linked with a a 65 million move to Arsenal as Arsene Wenger scouts the market for a striker who will lead his team this year. However, Benitez has categorically stated that Real Madrid are not going to part with Karim Benzema this summer.
a He will stay with us, I can’t see any reason why he would leave. We are very happy with him.a
Benitez also spoke about Gareth Bale and though he did not decline the fact that Real Madrid have received offers for the Welshman, he reflected that Bale was happy at the club and was on course for having a good season under his managership.
“Gareth Bale is a great player for us and I know that he is happy. I’m not going to talk about any offers for him. He’s going to have a good season with us.”
Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing Gareth Bale from Real Madrid with talks of a a record-breaking offera making the rounds. With Di Maria due to join PSG just a year after his arrival at Old Trafford, it seems that Van Gaal wants another Real Madrid player to join the ranks at Manchester United.
No official word on David De Gea
Real Madrid and Manchester United have been linked over several players with David De Geaa s name featuring prominently this summer. Though Marca reported that the deal regarding the Spaniard is likely to be finalised this week, Benitez refused to speak about the player by insisting that he was happy with the squad he has inherited from Carlo Ancelotti.
a I have said in five press conferences that I dona t want to talk about players who are at other clubs. We have three very good goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Casilla.a
While the David De Gea transfer saga is likely to dominate the headlines this month, it seems that Real Madrid is unlikely to sanction the sale of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema. Ever since Benitez took over the reins at the club, he has ensured that Florentinoa s a favourite playera receives the attention that was allegedly denied to him by Ancelotti. Due to be used in his preferred play makera s role this season, Gareth Bale is unlikely to express a desire to return to England. Meanwhile Karim Benzema is the only striker in the Real Madrid roster and with Sergio Aguero seemingly unavailable this summer, Perez is unlikely to let the Frenchman leave the Spanish capital for London.
