Arsenal FC earned a draw against a spirited Tottenham Hotspur side on Sunday, thanks in part to an exquisite Mesut zil cross into the box that allowed Kieran Gibbs to level the scores.
The Germany international has been in superb form for Arsenal FC of late, particularly in light of Alexis SA?nchez’s slight dip in form. On Sunday, Mesut zil assisted a goal in his sixth consecutive game in a single Premier League season, a new record.
Arsenal FC fans took to social media to praise the performance of their talisman following the draw. Here are some of the best tweets from the game.

Fact remains he has recorded 10 assists this season already and is definitely in top 3 players this season. The ball to Gibbs was brilliant. a Vibhor Daga (@VibhorDaga) November 8, 2015
Really impressed with Ozil. Previously, he would have faded away when we were losing…

One of the most amazing things about Ozil’s passing influence is he does it without being the first choice set piece taker.

Arsenal FC fans hail zil’s performance against Tottenham
The Gunners have relied on the brilliant German for creativity in recent weeks, and zil has consistently delivered. The midfielder leads the assists chart in the English Premier League after 12 games, and with 10 assists in all, the 27-year-old is already halfway to matching Thierry Henry’s all-time league record of 20 assists.
The former Real Madrid superstar has received a lot of criticism in the past for his poor performances against the league’s top sides, but it seems as thought the Gunners’ record signing is determined to turn that around this season.
On Sunday, the play maker put in a brilliant cross from the right to find substitute Kieran Gibbs at the far post, allowing the Gunners to rescue a point from a derby that was largely controlled by Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
