Arsenal FC midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that the win over Manchester United has enabled the side to believe that they can win the league.
Arsenal FC recorded a resounding 3-0 win over league leaders Manchester United to leapfrog them and jump in to the second position in the table.
The Londoners are now just two points off the top of the table, having played the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC.
Ramsey confident of Arsenal title tilt
Taking much heart from the win over United, Ramsey was quoted as saying by the Guardian:
a We owed them from a few years ago and the way we started the game was fantastic, and hopefully we can continue that now and carry on to beat the bigger teams and carry on our form against the other teams.a
Ramsey looking to score more
The Welsh international ended his 20-game goal drought when he scored in Wales’ 2-0 win over Andorra in their final Euro 2016 qualifier on Tuesday.
“I’ve been wanting it now for a few games for Arsenal as well,” he said.
“I have struggled a bit at the beginning of the season with goals, it has been pretty frustrating on that front, but hopefully now that will settle me down and I can carry on throughout the season.”
Wales have booked their place in a major tournament for the first time since 1958 when they had qualified for the World Cup.
The Welsh nation will be hoping for big performances from stars Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey in particular.
With his goal drought now behind him and Arsenal FC set to face Watford next, Ramsey will be hoping to regain focus back for the Gunners and inspire them to a title win before jetting off for France for the Euro 2016.
