Manchester United don’t want to part with star goalkeeper David de Gea so easily.

The Red Devils want to include Frenchman Karim Benzema in any deal for the Spaniard as they hope they can solve their striking problems in any deal that sees David de Gea head to another direction.

De Gea is expected to complete a A?25m move to Madrid this summer and there were suggestions the deal could be announced very soon, but there are some reports that suggest that the asking fee could be reduced with the addition of Benzema in the deal.

Manchester United do need a striker this summer as Robin van Persie looks like a jaded version of himself and Radamel Falcao failed to live up to his status last season and was subsequently let go of. Mario Mandzukic and Gonzalo Higuain are two strikers who have been vigorously linked with Louis van Gaal’s side and Benzema’s name has also done rounds.

Benzema would be a fantastic addition for the Manchester team. The France international scored 22 goals in 47 appearance for Real Madrid last season, including a terrific run of ten goals in nine games throughout October and November.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan’s Samir Handanovic and Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris have been tipped as the two goalkeepers United is eyeing to replace the imminent outgoing David de Gea.
