Manchester United have plans to spend lavishly in the summer transfer window and, as a part of this plan, the Old Trafford giants are preparing lucrative bids for FC Barcelona right back Dani Alves and Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Manchester United, ever since the departure of Sir Alex Fergusson, have found it difficult to challenge for any major trophies. The club missed to qualify for Europe last year but they are now certain to play in the Champions League next season.

Manchester United management believes that Louis van Gaal has done a good job with this team and have decided to hand him another big war chest for the upcoming transfer window.

The Red Devils have looked over-reliant on Machael Carrik this season and Louis van Gaal is currently looking for a world class central midfielder in the market.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has worked under Louis van Gaal when the latter was the coach of Bayern Munich between 2008 to 2011. They both enjoyed a great working relationship back then and Manchester United authorities believe that they can get their man by offering him a lucrative deal.

The Daily Telegraph have also confirmed the interest of Manchester United in Bastian Schweinsteiger. It has reported today that Louis van Gaal is ready to make swoop for World Cup winner during summer transfer window.

Another player who is attracting the interest of Manchester United is FC Barcelona right back Dani Alves.

The contract of Dani Alves is set to expire on 30th of June but no talks have started between the player and the club about the extension of the same yet.

FC Barcelona are eager to offer him an extension but Dani Alves wants a big pay hike, and Manchester United are ready to offer him 1,50,000 pounds a week.

Metro has reported it today that Manchester United have been handed a transfer boost as Dani Alves is reportedly going to announce he will leave Barcelona at a press conference on Tuesday.
