Luis Suarez has declared after the All-Star charity game at Anfield that if he ever returns to the Premier League then it will be back with Liverpool.

The Uruguayan left the Reds after his latest biting incident at last summera s World Cup finals, joining Barcelona in a A?75million deal.

However, the 2014 PFA Playersa Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year insists that if he ever does return to England it will be to play again at Anfield.

The Uruguayan said after the game,a You never know in football what the future holds but if I ever play in England again I will play for the Liverpool team and not another team.”

a Ita s great to come back to Anfield. Not just for the old players coming back but those who play now and for the supporters, for Stevie and the foundation – it was a special game.

a Ia ve missed the fans. The atmosphere is unbelievable, ita s amazing. Everyone whoa s played for Liverpool knows how important the supporters are. They know they are in my heart.a

Suarez came on as a half-time substitute for Steven Gerrarda s team in the 2-2 draw with Jamie Carraghera s side, Suarez was also delighted to finally form the greatest strike partnership that Anfield never saw alongside Fernando Torres who quit Liverpool FC for Chelsea in the same week that he arrived.

Both Men left Anfield in search of Silverware but there was a feeling that some fans would be less forgiving of the Spaniard because of the manner of the Spaniard’s departure and for the reason that he defected to a domestic rival, but as it turned out both Suarez and Torres were given a warm reception by the Kop.

Liverpool All-Star charity match

Suarez said: a It was great for me to play up front alongside Fernando. Four years ago when I signed for Liverpool, I crossed my fingers to play with Fernando and he left three days after I signed.

a It was a great day for the other players but for me and Fernando it was a great chance to play together.

a Steven asked me (about taking the second penalty) because hea s a very nice person. Ita s important when a player comes back after a few months to score a goal but for me it is not important because the day is for him.a
