The defender's current deal runs until 2017 and he will be offered a new five-year contract on improved terms as per Liverpool Echo. The offer has surprised fans with the player offered a bumper 100k GBP per week contract, a 25k GBP a week improvement on his previous 75k GBP per week deal.
