Delhi Dynamos manager Roberto Carlos believes that his side need four more points from their remaining five matches to qualify for the semi finals of Indian Super League.

A spectacular second half goal from Ghanaian striker Richard Gadze helped the Dynamos to a draw against a gritty Atletico de Kolkata side who took the lead through Canadian striker Iain Hume.

The result leaves Delhi Dynamos level on points with FC Pune City and FC Goa at the top of the table with 15 points. Atletico de Kolkata moved clear of NorthEast United FC and solidified their hold on 4th position after earning their 11th point away from home.

We need four more points to qualify for the semi finals: Carlos

Speaking to the media after his side’s third consecutive 1-1 draw at home, Delhi Dynamos manager Roberto Carlos revealed that he believes his side need four more points to make the semi finals of the second edition of the Indian Super League.

“19 points,” said Carlos. “I believe my team needs 19 points to finish in the top 4.”

“There are no easy games in the Indian Super League. All teams are equal. All matches are close”.

Commenting on the match itself, Carlos said, “I didn’t like the performance of my side in the first half as I feel my players weren’t aggressive enough. In the second half, my team were the better side and deserved to win the match based on their performance”.

Asked about his post match scuffle with Atletico midfielder Valmiro Lopes Rocha, a disgruntled Carlos revealed, “The incident with Valdo [Valmiro Rocha] happened 12 years ago when he was playing for Osasuna and I was playing for Real Madrid. There was an incident back then and he still remembers it. But he is a good friend and I wish him all the best”.

Asked to comment on Malouda’s state of mind following the Paris attacks, Carlos said, “What happened in Paris hurt everyone. A lot of people died in the attacks. Malouda is an experienced player and he has dealt with it maturely.”

Atletico manager Antonio LA?pez Habas revealed in his post match comments that his side’s marquee striker Helder Postiga has stepped up his recovery from injury and is just one week away from full fitness.

“Postiga will take one more week to recover,” said Habas. “He is an important player and we hope to have him playing for us soon.”

“All the teams are playing better this season. Last year, everyone had only 20 days to prepare before the season began. This year, all the teams had 30 days.”

Asked why his team performs better away from home, Habas responded by saying, “The moment is now. Atletico will now start winning at home.”
