Kevin De Bruyne has been doing great things at Manchester City, and could have done the same at the currently struggling Chelsea FC, where he did not get the chance, believes his former Blues teammate Ryan Bertrand.

a If you have trained with him a like I have a you would know he always had that end product everyone is talking about today,” Bertrand was quoted saying to The Sun.

“He dazzled us in training the moment he arrived. Kevin has that ability to provide assists and score goals and hea s now showing that on the biggest stage,” he said. a Ita s so easy for everyone to say how much he has improved since leaving Chelsea but the truth is he always had it. He just, for whatever reason, was not given the opportunity to show it at Chelsea.a

After not getting many chances at Chelsea FC, De Bruyne decided to move to Bundesliga club Wolfsberg, where an 18-month spell with regular first team football convinced the world of his talents. Thus, the Belgian earned himself a A?55 million move to Manchester City, where he has been flourishing this season.

City’s Raheem Sterling up to Barcelona standards

Ryan Bertrand, who himself made a move out of Chelsea FC in search for regular football, also said that his England teammate Raheem Sterling has the potential to be as good as FC Barcelona star forwards Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

a Raheem does not mind helping out defensively. That is the sort of thing you associate with the great players in the world game,” said Bertrand.

a He is up there with the Barcelona three of Messi, Suarez and Neymar, who are not just great attacking players but whose ability to win the ball back is one of the best parts of their game,” he continued. a If he can add more goals, Raheem could be at the level of a Barcelona player.a
