Arsenal are set to formally announce the capture ofGabriel Paulista from Villarreal in next 24 hours. But the club is not done yet. Arsene Wenger has set his eyes on signing two more defenders before the closure of this transfer window: Adil Rami of AC Milan and Valencia right-back Joao Pereira.

Spanish side Valencia have already told Joao Pereira that his services are no longer required at the club. Valencia have given permission to Joao Pereira to have discussions with other clubs and Arsenal are ready to bail him out.
AC Milan centre back Adil Rami has already expressed his desire to leave the club. Adil Rami has become a regular starter for AC Milan ever since his transfer from Valencia but the Rosonori are willing to sell him if they receive anything more than 8 million euros for the Frenchman. And Arsenal are ready to meet the asking price of AC Milan to get their man.
Meanwhile, reports coming from England have also confirmed the plans of Arsenal to get Adil Rami and Joao Pereira before the closure of the transfer window.
The Daily Star has claimed today that Villarreal ace Gabriel Paulista will be the first and he is on the verge of being confirmed as a Gunner after being granted a work permit. Reports on the continent suggest Arsenal boss Wenger is also weighing-up moves for Valencia right-back Joao Pereira and AC Milan centre-back Adil Rami.
Arsenal’s first choice right-back Mathieu Debuchy is out until the end of April because of the injury and the duo of Calum Chambers and Hector Bellerin does not enjoy the confidence of Arsene Wenger.
Arsene Wenger has asked Arsenal management to look for the more experienced player and they believe that Joao Pereira is a cheaper yet quality option.
Arsenal are also interested in AC Milan’s Adil Rami as Arsene Wenger wants to increase the depth of his ailing defence and he considers the Frenchman as a decent buy.
