FC Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has set his sight on repeating the treble success with the club in 2015-16 season. .

FC Barcelona won the treble of Champions League, La Liga, and Spanish Cup in first season of new manager Luis Enrique, a feat the Blaugrana had also achieved in the first season of Pep Guardiola back in 2008-09.

And while that team failed to repeat the success of the previous season, Andres Iniesta is the latest FC Barcelona player rallying the club to target a repeat of 2014-15 season.

“I want treble”

FC Barcelona are currently on their pre-season trip in Los Angeles, USA. Speaking at an UNICEF event, Iniesta said:

a Wea ll try and repeat the treble and thata s what wea re working for. No one has ever done it twice. We have a lot of work ahead and we know it will be difficult to do it again.”

a Sport and football are a tool to teach children. They see us as role models and that is a responsibility. We always want to convey our best, what we have learned in training and from our parents.

a Wea ve got the opportunity to do what we love but there is a negative side. Playing football is a pleasure. Sometimes youa d rather not be known, but football has given me a lot of positives. Ita s a privilege to be involved with this organisation.a

FC Barcelona once again setting the standards

FC Barcelona were the first team to win the sextuple in European football history, with Pep Guardiola’s side winning everything on offer in 2009.

The tremendous group of players that they have, FC Barcelona have already become the first team to win two trebles of Champions League, domestic league, and domestic cup and with Neymar and manager Luis Enrique setting their sight on another sextuple and Iniesta setting his sight on winning consecutive treble, records breaking are in the order.

Will FC Barcelona able to do it? One can see no reason why they cannot baring injuries given that they have largely the same squad who will be a year more mature and closer to their peak.
