Arturo Vidal has refused to rule out a move from Juventus as reports suggest Manchester United are closing in on a deal.

Arturo Vidal’s future at Juventus has come under a lot of speculations with reports suggesting that Manchester United are closing in on the Chilean international. The midfielder has also refused to rule out a move from Turin.

Vidal joined the Italian club from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011 and has since then been a regular in Antonio Conte’s side. The 27-year-old has established himself as arguably the best midfielder in the world currently and has already won three Serie A titles with the Italian club.

Vidal finished last season with 11 goals and five assists in 28 starts in the league and his consistent performances has drawn a lot of attention from a host of European clubs. Real Madrid and PSG were initially linked with a move for him, but Manchester United are believed to be the current frontrunners in the race for his signature.

Reports in Chilean media suggest that the Red Devils are close to agreeing a fee with Juventus for this move. According to La Tercera, the deal will be worth £32million plus Patrice Evra. United officials have already held talks with Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich and the Chilean international is keen on a move to Old Trafford.

Vidal, who returned from Brazil after Chile were knocked out of the World Cup, remains coy over his future at Juventus, but has refused to rule out a move.

“I’ve heard about the rumours, but I haven’t spoken more about this subject.

“I’m enjoying my holidays, and when I return to Italy I’ll see what happens.

“I’m very calm, but anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.”

Vidal could very well join fellow countryman Alexis Sanchez in England, after he completed a move to Arsenal this week – and he thinks his switch to North London will be a successful one.

“I am happy for him, he needed to take a step like this and at Arsenal he will be able to do things very well.” – Vidal said in an interview.

Vidal could become Manchester United’s third big signing this summer after they splashed the cash on Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw earlier in this transfer window.
