The Goan Greens and Golden Eagles have been dominating Goa football for a very long time. Emergence of new clubs like Sporting Clube de Goa, Wilfred Liesure, Goa Velha has created few problems, but they are expected to do well in the league.
Both the clubs are well balanced sides and have retained the majority of the players from the last season. Both the clubs known to play enterprising football, and it will be amazing to watch the boys in Green and Blue dazzle the field. They will be eager to reclaim the title and take this opportunity prepare themselves for the I-League ahead of the season.
The teams has added few more younger players to the roster. The youngster will look to put a solid performers and impress coaches for the I-League place. Uttam Rai, the India U-19 striker is likely to feature for Dempo and a lot eyes will be on him.

After playing one season in the tier two of the Goan football Vasco Sports Club will be making its return to the Goa Pro league. The club has given super performance in 1st division and that will boost their confidence. All the fans across Goa would be interested to see the historical club back in the elite league. The mandatory rule of fielding 2 U-20 players does not stop these small clubs using just 2 U-20 players in starting eleven. Sometimes you see the majority of the playing eleven players of very young age. This makes these smaller clubs very important in Goan football ecosystem.

The northern Goan clubs have taken huge strides in recent times. Sesa Football Academy and Tuff Boys of Mapusa have earned reputation of Giants killers. The clubs showed their mettle last season by threatening the bigger clubs in Goa. Both the clubs make the league more interesting with their attacking brand of football and makes it difficult for some of the I-League clubs. The two clubs will be willing to improve their standing from the last season.
The League is expected to be even stronger this time with no teams looking pushover. This makes the Goa Pro league the number one and most competitive state league in India for the last decade.
