Tottenham Hotspur are keen on adding Belgium talent to their squad as wonder-kid Michy Bashuayi is lined up to join Jan Vertonghen, Moussa Dembele and Nacer Chadli.

Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi has scored 37 goals in 90 appearances in the Belgian Pro League and is regarded as a hot prospect across the world. 20-year-old striker is expected to follow the footsteps of his counter parts Christian Benteke and Romelu Lukaku to English Premier League. Michy Batshuayi is a long term target of Arsenal while a host of clubs around Europe are also monitoring the striker.

Welsh side Swansea City had offered a 2.5 million deal for the striker last summer, but it did not meet the expectations of Standard Liege. Swansea City had renewed their interest in Michy Batshuayi with a 7 million offer this summer. Premier League sides Arsenal Everton and Portugese giants FC Porto also in the equation for the striker and it was an uphill task for the Swans to convince the striker.

Even-though a fee was agreed between Swansea City and Standard Liege for Michy Batshuayi, the striker rejected the move to Garry Monk’s side in favour of a possible move to Arsenal. Everton and Arsenal are still interested in the signature of the Belgium striker, who scored 19 goals in Belgain Pro League during 2013-14 season. It is reported that Tottenham Hotspur are going to challenge the Premier League duo for Michy Batshuayi‘s signature.

Michy Batshuayi is keen on a move to Premier League, as the Belgium World Cup squad contains 12 Premier League players. His Goal scoring exploits at Standard Liege could only earn him a spot in the stand bye list for the 2014 World Cup. Michy Batshauyi is looking to make amends for that by proving himself in Premier League and the mounting interest from Premier League giants can be seen as a testament to his talent and potential.

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sort out their managerial position before signing players. Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is expected to take over at Tottenham in the coming days, and the Spurs think tank is waiting for his approval for the youngsters signing. Michy Batshuayi has an 8 million release clause in his contract, and Tottenham are planning to activate the clause as soon as the new manager takes over at White Hart Lane. Can Tottenham beat Arsenal and Everton to the signature of this highly rated Belgium U-21 youngster?
