With departure of Alvaro Morata becoming increasingly inevitable, Real Madrid has started looking for the possible replacements and Juan Iturbe of Hellas Verona has become their top target.

Alvaro Morata has claimed earlier that he wants regular playing time and he is even ready for the transfer to get the same. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is aware that it will be very difficult to give much playing opportunity to the young Spaniard and hence, he is ready to sell the striker.

Spanish newspaper Marca has also confirmed the interest of Real Madrid in Juan Iturbe of Hellas Verona. Marca reports that: “Real Madrid are considering signing the striker Juan Iturbe, who plays for Hellas Verona, as a replacement for Álvaro Morata if the home-grown player finally ends up leaving ‘Los Blancos'”

It will not be an easy deal to make. Real will need to dig deep into their pockets, because the player is on loan to Hellas Verona and the Italian club have decided to exercise their option to purchase him from Porto for €15 million.”

Real Madrid is not the only club who is vying for the signature of the Argentine striker though. Italian champions Juventus are also interested in the youngster.

Describe in Italy as “new Messi”, Iturbe started his career with Cerro Porteño in 2009, at age 16, on a game against Libertad in the domestic league of Paraguay.

His consistent displays in Latin America did not go unnoticed in Europe as Portuguese giants FC Porto signed him in 2011. Iturbe failed to impress at Porto and was loaned out to Hellas Verona. Young Iturbe gave some excellent performances for Verona last season as he managed to score an impressive tally of 8 goals and 5 assists.

Hellas Verona has signed Juan Iturbe on permanent basis now for 15 million euros. However, they are not expected to keep him as confirmed by the club director himself.

“We all know that Iturbe is a special player,” Hellas sporting director Sean Sogliano has said earlier.

“We cannot hide the fact he is at the centre of important negotiations. He is aware of what the situation is, there are possibilities that he will join a big club.”

Big clubs like Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid are keeping an eye on the current situation of Iturbe and his destination will also be dependent on the future club of Alvaro Morata. If Alvaro Morata leaves Real Madrid, then Los Blancos are almost certain to make a move for him.

However, Real Madrid will have to spend big to lure the player away from Verona as the club is not expected to lower their price due to ongoing competition for players’ signature.
