Real Madrid are ready to beat Chelsea for the signature of Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus.

Real Madrid have a good relationship with Volker Struth, the agent of Marco Reus, who also represents Toni Kroos, and the club is ready to take the advantage of this understanding to beat Chelsea for the signature of this highly talented attacker.

Marco Reus is out of contract in 2016 and his buy-out clause reduces to 25 million euros in January. The German international has refused to sign the contract extension with Borussia Dortmund and as a result, host of top European clubs, including Real Madrid, Chelsea, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are vying for his signature.

Meanwhile, reports coming from Spain have also confirmed the readiness of Real Madrid to beat Chelsea for Marco Reus. Madrid based daily Marca has claimed in its report that: “Real Madrid have Borussia Dortmund’s star, Marco Reus, more than under control. To the point that there is an in-depth report into the German international at the Santiago Bernabéu. It is the result of extensive scouting over the course of the past three years. The results of the report on Reus place the German in a privileged position on the club’s list of future transfer targets.”

Bayern Munich were touted as the preferred destination of Marco Reus earlier but the management of Borussia Dortmund is not ready to sale the player to their domestic rivals.

Real Madrid already possess wealth of attacking talent including Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema in their ranks but the club is interested in signing another versatile player who can play on both the wings and who is also comfortable in playing as no. 9. The Real Madrid management believes that Marco Reus is more than capable of playing on these positions as they are scouting the player since past two years.

Real Madrid signed Javier Hernandez on loan from Manchester United as deputy of Karim Benzema this summer but president Florentino Perez is in no mood to make his move permanent as he is confident of beating Chelsea for Marco Reus, who is much more talented than the Mexico international.

Another reason behind Real Madrid’s confidence of beating Chelsea is the financial position of the London based club. Real Madrid are willing to offer Marco Reus an annual package worth 10 million euros and Chelsea will find it extremely difficult to match that amount as they currently are under scanner of UEFA for not following the rules of Financial Fair Play.
