Amidst growing speculation regarding Manchester Uniteds interest in Gareth Bale, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has claimed that the Welshman is not for sale and will not leave Madrid for Old Trafford.

Manchester United has been strongly linked with a move for Gareth Bale in recent weeks and it was earlier reported that United are preparing an extravagant £120 million bid to convince those at Real Madrid to part with the Welsh winger.

However Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has now claimed that Gareth Bale is not for sale and that he will not listen to any offer regarding his record signing.

“I cannot imagine Real Madrid without Bale. We would never listen to any offer, no matter the amount.”

The President made it clear that Gareth Bale was an important component of the squad at Santiago Bernabeu and that he was not willing to part with the player who landed him the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

"We would never listen to any offer for Bale, no matter what the fee."

“We would never listen to any offer for Bale, no matter what the fee.”

Gareth Bale had a slow start at Real Madrid but eventually made 44 appearances for the club where he scored 22 goals and made 19 assists. Gareth Bale also scored a memorable goal against arch-rivals Barcelona to win the Copa del Rey last season and then went on to score the goal in the Champions League finals that gave Ancelotti’s men the lead in the game.

Perez recognizes the value of Gareth Bale at Real Madrid and has claimed that he is a part of the club’s future in the years to come.

“This is a unique player who has already given us a lot and it is crucial for the future of the club.”

Florentino Perez spoke about United’s interest in Gareth Bale and revealed that though he hasn’t got a single offer from Manchester, he is not going to put a price tag on the Welshman.

“We have not received an offer from Manchester or any other club for Gareth Bale. We would never listen to any offer for Bale, no matter what the fee.”

Louis Van Gaal when quizzed earlier about United’s interest in Gareth Bale , refused to rule out a possible transfer by claiming that he will consult his CEO regarding all potential transfer targets.

“I cannot discuss that (Gareth Bale) with you. I discuss that with my CEO and not anyone from the media.”

Despite United’s interest in Bale, it is highly unlikely that Gareth Bale will want to leave Real Madrid at a time when the club is reaching dazzling new heights. The Welshman himself confirmed that he was happy at Madrid.

“I am happy to be playing for the best team in the world. It is an incredible feeling and I am also proud to represent Wales. I hope that 2015 goes well.”

It now remains to be seen how this transfer saga is set to be played out between Real Madrid, Manchester United and Gareth Bale.
