Real Madrid management is aware that Angel di Maria is not happy at the club and they are ready to sell the Argentina international to open the door for James Rodriguez of AS Monaco.

James Rodriguez is currently the highest goal scorer of ongoing World Cup and he is also very eager to join the Spanish giants.

Report of the Spanish newspaper AS has claimed today that Real Madrid management is aware that they will have to shell out huge money to get Rodriguez from AS Monaco. And to fund Rodriguez’s transfer, getting highest possible returns from the sell of Di Maria is Real Madrid’s first priority.

AS reports that: “Real Madrid now know that Ángel Di María does not want to return to the club and the ball has started rolling to cover the gap that would be left by ‘el Fideo’ with the signing of James Rodríguez. What’s more, the Argentine has already decided on the club he wants to represent next season: PSG. Yet this choice clashes with Madrid’s preferences, and those in charge at the Santiago Bernabéu are more in favour of a move to Manchester United. Both interested parties have already put 60 million euros on the table, an amount that falls short of Los Blancos’ asking price of 70 million.”

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer of Angel di Maria’s attitude and considers the player a key part of his side. However, Di Maria feels that he is undervalued by the Santiago Bernabeu faithful and has made up his mind to leave the club.

PSG and Manchester United are interested in the signature of Di Maria. Real Madrid management is reportedly waiting for both these clubs to start the bidding war so that the money can be utilized to sign Colombia international James Rodriguez. Real Madrid will have shell huge money to acquire the youngster as the asking price of AS Monaco is 80 million euros.

However, the factor going in favor of Real Madrid is the eagerness of Rodriguez himself to play at Santiago Bernabeu. James Rodriguez claimed yesterday that it is his dream to play for Los Blancos.

“I have a great deal of respect for other clubs and admire the good football they play, but ultimately Real Madrid are Real Madrid. I’ve always had a thing for them.” Rodriguez said.

“It’s a dream, as I said, but also a privilege to play alongside players of such quality, all those world-class stars. It’s my life’s dream. If this finally happens, I only want to enjoy it.

“Cristiano is a great player, a superstar in capital letters. Cristiano deservedly won the Ballon d’Or, which recognises the best player in the world.”

“It’s a club that are building something big. Obviously it would be a dream for me to play for Real Madrid, but I will always respect my current club, who will have the last word on the matter.”

Angel di Maria is expected to make the decision over his future after the conclusion of World Cup and the picture regarding the future of both the players is expected to get cleared in next few days.
