Immediately after winning their La Decima, Real Madrid has started working on their transfer market plans as talks with Juventus have been initiated for the transfer of Arturo Vidal.

Italian sports daily Tuttosport has reported today that Real Madrid management have made the first contact with Juventus over the potential transfer of Arturo Vidal.

Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is looking for a long term partner for Luka Modric and sees Chilean midfielder Vidal as the perfect candidate. The 26-year-old has been subject of interest from many top European clubs, with Manchester United and Barcelona among the host of clubs reported to be keen in his services. However, the interest of Real Madrid is more concrete and they are expected to beat the competition with their financial might.

Current Juventus midfield is widely recognized as the best in the world and Vidal, along with Andrea Pirlo, has been the back bone of their side and Juventus are expected to refuse to sell him or to ask for a huge transfer fee.

Real Madrid are well stocked in the midfield at the moment as the likes of Modric, Xabi Alonso, Caseimiro, Khedira, Asier Illaramendi and Di Maria are already there. However, Vidal is one of the best midfielders in the world and can easily get a starting berth in this Madrid side. Premier League side Chelsea is reportedly interested in Sami Khedira and if they make suitable offer, Real are likely to off load him, to use that money for Vidal’s transfer.

In this potential transfer, the biggest concern for Real Madrid is going to be that of players’ will as Vidal is said to be interested in staying at Juventus Arena only. When asked about the interest of Real Madrid in March, this is what Vidal said: “Join Real Madrid or Barcelona? That’s ridiculous! All I want is to win the league with Juventus and have a good World Cup,” he said.

Another Juventus star, Paul Pogba is also attracting lot of interest from European clubs as the likes of PSG and Barcelona reportedly tracking him. But Juve management is quite intent on keeping the Frenchman in their ranks are to generate necessary funds, sell Vidal.

As far as the transfer plans of Real Madrid are concerned, Los Blancos have two primary targets this summer, one is Arturo Vidal and the other is Luis Suarez. Real Madrid are said to be ready to make another world record for the capture of Liverpool’s Luis Suarez. To generate funds for his transfer, Madrid are ready to sell Karim Benzema. While Real consider Vidal as the only missing piece to make their squad a complete one and to win the Champions League again next year.
