Real Madrid have agreed terms with Manchester United for the transfer of Javier Hernandez and the club is set to officially announce the capture today.
Real Madrid was in the market for a striker and they were linked with a move for Radamel Falcao whole summer. But it appears now that Los Blancos have gone for a cheaper option of Javier Hernandez. The Colombian international is now expected to sign for either Juventus or Manchester City.
Reports coming from Spain and England have confirmed the Real Madrid’s capture of Hernandez. Madrid bases daily Marca reports that: “Chicharito Hernández is the nº9 that Real have been looking for as a finishing touch to the team before the summer market comes to a close tomorrow. ‘Los Blancos’ are at present deep in negotiations with Manchester United to get the deal done in time.”
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti had claimed after the signing of James Rodriguez that he will not sign any more players but lack of options upfront forced the Italian to go for Chicharito.
Hernandez is surplus to requirements at Manchester United and the Old Trafford club was eager to get rid of him in order to raise some funds.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Real Madrid have got their man on one year loan only. Real Madrid does not want to sign the Mexican on permanent basis even after the expiry of his loan period. Youngster Jese is currently sidelined due to long term injury and club management has full faith in his abilities. Jese is expected to return in the later stages of this season.
Ancelotti Slams Real Madrid Attitude
Real Madrid suffered a shock 4-2 defeat against Real Sociedad yesterday and coach Carlo Ancelotti has slammed the attitude shown by his players during the defeat.
Real Madrid earned a two-goal lead after just 11 minutes thanks to goals from Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos but defensive errors helped the Basque side to come back strongly and score 4 goals.
Ancelotti apologized to the club’s supporters after the game, claiming it was a showing that angered him.
“This is a loss that I do not like at all because I think occasionally you can play badly but when you lead 2-0 you have to show the required attitude to see out the game,” Ancelotti said in a press conference after the match.
“It is my responsibility. Something has to change and it will… I am sorry because I do not like it that the team have played in this way. You have to quickly change the things that have not gone well.”
