AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has been linked with Real Madrid since the start of a transfer window and it seems that the loan move is on verge of completion now.

Radamel Falcao has expressed his desire to play for Los Blancos on many occasions and Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is also interested in bringing the Colombian at Santiago Bernabeu. Falcao surprised many observers yesterday when he added Real Madrid stars Isco, Gareth Bale and Sami Khedira to the contact list of his Instagram account.

Spanish media have claimed today that this action of the player is a clear indication of the possible transfer and Real Madrid may announce a loan move in this week. Spanish daily AS report claims that: “Radamel Falcao surprised many of the people who follow him on social networking sites by adding three Real Madrid players to his contacts list in one swoop on Tuesday. The Monaco player suddenly began following Gareth Bale, Isco Alarcón and Sami Khedira on Instagram – which has only stoked rumours that he may be on the brink of a loan move to the Bernabéu.”

Real Madrid have sold Alvaro Morata to Juventus and Karim Benzema is the only specialist striker Carlo Ancelotti have at his disposal at the moment. The Italian has asked for the signing of another specialist striker and president Florentino Perez feels that Radamel Falcao would be the ideal candidate as the player himself is eager to play for Real Madrid.

AS Monaco management wants at least 60 million euros from the sale of Falcao but Real Madrid is currently not ready to spend such huge amount on the player. Real Madrid have already spent more than 100 million euros on new transfers and President Perez wants to sign Falcao on loan initially, with an option to make the signing permanent after the expiry of one year.

Rodriguez Destined For Greatness: Del Piero

Italy icon Alessandro Del Piero believes new Real Madrid signing James Rodriguez is destined to become a big star.

Real Madrid spent €80 million on James Rodriguez and Del Pireo feels that the young Colombian has all the attributes to become a great star in the years to come.

“Madrid reinforced the squad well. James is an incredible player – he’s young and has a great future ahead of him,” Del Piero was speaking to Spanish daily AS.

Del Piero also praised new Madrid signing Toni Kroos. He said that: “And Kroos will fit in perfectly as well. He is a midfielder who will play an important role for Real Madrid.”
