Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that club will not make any more signings this summer but reports coming from Spain claim that Los Blancos are in the market for another striker to partner Karim Benzema.

Karim Benzema is the only specialist striker in Real Madrid squad and recent reports have linked the capital club with a move for Radamel Falcao of AS Monaco. The sale of Di Maria to Manchester United and long term injury of Jese have reduced the options available for Ancelotti upfront and he could move for a striker before the closure of this transfer window.

Reports coming from Spain have also confirmed the desire of Real Madrid to sign another striker before 1st September. Madrid based newspaper Marca claims that: “Di María’s move to Manchester United – announced on Tuesday afternoon – and Jesé’s injury mean that Real Madrid’s attack is operating on a skeleton crew. Even though the club’s Italian boss has repeatedly said that the club will make no further signings this summer, they now appear open to the possibility of bringing in an attacking player.”

Real Madrid splashed huge cash on new signings like James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos and Kaylor Navas earlier in the transfer window but club managed to balance its books through the sale of Angel Di Maria to Manchester United and enjoys healthy financial condition at the moment.

Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has been linked with a move to Madrid throughout this transfer window and the player himself is not happy at his current club AS Monaco. Falcao is a big fan of Real Madrid and it would not be a surprise if becomes a new Galactico by this weekend.

Real Madrid Can Win The Champions League: Gareth Bale

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale has claimed that Los Blancos can win the Champions League for a second successive year. “There is a reason why no-one has done it. It’s difficult to win [the Champions League] once never mind twice in a row but we feel confident, we feel good.”

Real Madrid have been paired with FC Basel, Liverpool and Ludogorets for the group stages of the Champions League and Bale is hopeful that they can win the competition this year too. He was speaking to English newspaper Daily Mail. “I made the right decision last year. To win two trophies last season and then the European Super Cup in Cardiff shows that”, he said.

Bale has special memories of that night in Lisbon when he won the Champions League. “My memory of the equaliser is of seeing the corner going over my head and just praying that somebody would put it in and thankfully Sergio did. I remember Di Maria’s shot and the keeper deflecting it up and thankfully I had kept up with play and was in the right place at the right time.”
