Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that Cristiano Ronaldo is going nowhere and the rumours linking with Manchester United are meaningless.

Recent reports have claimed that Manchester United have prepared a package worth 140 million pounds to lure Ronaldo away from Real Madrid. But Ancelotti believes that these rumours are a media creation and Ronaldo is happy at Real Madrid.

“I can’t imagine Real Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo. These are meaningless rumours. He is really happy to be at Real Madrid and Madrid fans are very happy with him,” Ancelottis said in a press conference ahead of his sides’ game against Villareal.

The Real Madrid boss also said that Ronaldo is currently the best player in the world and Los Blancos are lucky to have him in their team.

“At the moment, there’s no doubt Ronaldo is best in the world. We are lucky to have him here, because marking him isn’t easy, and in every game he shows will, determination and character. When I was at Milan and he was at Manchester United, I played against him and it’s not easy to think how you have to stop him,” Ancelotti admitted.

“He plays like a leader. We have to keep him well both mentally and physically because he is a player that yields trophies.”

Meanwhile, Ancelotti has been criticized by the section of Spanish media for not rotating his world class goal keeping duo of Casillas and Navas properly. But the Real Madrid boss stressed that he has not made a fixed rotation policy for the goal keepers.

“I still don’t know because I have another training session to look forward to,” he replied when the subject was raised.

“I can only say that I don’t think one goalkeeper will play at home and another will play away. It would not be fair on my side to say that there is a table of the best and one of the worst players in the squad.

“I love every player. If Iker will play, it’s just because I think he is the best. Then I don’t know whether Iker and Keylor [Navas] go out and have dinner together but their relationship is good.”

Real Madrid travel to Villarreal for their La Liga clash on Saturday and Ancelotti revealed that defenders Pepe and Fabio Coentrao will play no part due to injury.
