The Mexican Club’s vice president stated that the Blues are keen to sign winger Jurgen Damm. The two clubs will meet for negotiations on Thursday.

Chelsea are moving rapidly to seize the opportunity to capture Mexican winger Jurgen Damm. The Blues management are set to arrive on Mexican shores to discuss about the transfer.

Chelsea, who did not manage to lift any silverware last season are looking to fortify their midfield this season. Jurgen Damm’s inclusion into the Chelsea squad is seen as empowerment of the bench squad. The Blues may also opt to acquire the player on loan, but the final outcome of the player’s future will only disclose after the two clubs meet face to face.

In a television interview with Medio Tiempo, Mexican club Pachuca’s Vice president Andres Fassi revealed ‘ Chelsea are the club interested, but we have to see how much they are interested, we can’t go ahead of ourselves, we have to wait and see. When it comes to us, it’s a matter of sporting project. We want him to stay and we will see how much Chelsea are interested.’

“In principle we have a sporting plan for Jurgen and we hope he stays, but if something comes up from abroad, we have to take it into account and if it’s serious, we have to respond, we will have news in the next 48 hours.” He said, clearly pointing their willingness to sell Damm if an appropriate offer is made.

“There is a belief they arrive in Mexico on Thursday to talk with us.” said Fossi, expecting the negotiation process to complete within 2 days. But He denied to reveal the price expected by his club for Damm’s transfer.

A player known for his fierce speed and ability to produce accurate passes from wide areas- Jurgen Damm,21 -has been described as one of the future stars of Mexican football. He holds a dual Mexican-German citizenship, giving him an option to choose the country he wants to represents at international level.

Jurgen Damm had previously participated in a two-week trial with Manchester United on the recommendation of Javier Hernandez’s agent. The Red devils were reportedly ready to pay 500,000 pounds for the player but his club refused their offer asking 2 million pound for his transfer.

The Blues are also in talks with Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa and Barcelona Midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who have reportedly been offered 32 million and 27 million pounds respectively.
