Portuguese winger Nani may well be on his way to Milan by the end of this month as reports emerge that Inter Milan are keen to sign the Manchester United player for a loan spell till the end of the season.

Having found himself out of favour with David Moyes, the Portuguese winger has failed to consolidate his position in the team and is reportedly heading for a move towards Inter Milan for the rest of the season. He has made only 8 appearances in the Premier League this season and has failed to contribute to the squad, often being left out by David Moyes in favour of other wingers.

Italian media have reported that Inter Milan are keen to acquire Nani’s services in a bid to improve the firepower in their squad. Negotiations are underway and it remains to be seen if Inter manage to sign the player before the transfer window closes for the season.

Having renewed his contract after David Moyes’ arrival at Manchester United, Nani looked set to fight for a starting spot at Manchester United. In fact the 27 year old winger was expected to step up and take added responsibility but instead found himself below Janujaz, Valencia and Young in the pecking order. A series of injuries too added to his woes as he was sidelined after a hamstring injury. With the World Cup approaching, Nani is expectedly looking for regular first-team football and hence is open to a move away from the Old Trafford.

According to media reports, Juventus approached Manchester United to sign the winger but talks broke down as the two sides failed to come to a mutual agreement. A move back to his former club, Sporting Lisbon, was also speculated but it has now emerged that Inter Milan might sign the winger on loan with the option to buy him at the end of the season.

Though his contract runs till 2018, Nani has had a troubled relationship with the club over the past two seasons. Once seen as the heir to former United prodigy Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani failed to take up the mantle and has lost his edge over the years. He made only 11 league appearances in his last campaign and has now failed to win over the new manager with his limited appearances. It is believed that Nani is a victim of Moyes’ attempt to revamp the squad after having given his players a fair trial. Anderson left on loan earlier this month and it seems that Nani might also be out by the end of this month.
