Mumbai City entertain FC Goa in match 34 of the Hero Indian Super League. Although, both sides are separated by three points – Mumbai on eleven and FC Goa on eight, there is a heft gap in form. Mumbai City FC have been resolute in defense so far but have failed to convert their chances upfront, meanwhile FC Goa battered a resurgent Delhi Dynamos side 4-1, in the capital. Coming into this fixture FC Goa would be hoping to trump Mumbai, as three points for them would lead them straight into contention for the semi final berths.

There can be absolutely no doubt that Mumbai’s strongest link is their defense. The defensive setup has kept plenty of clean sheets thus far, whilst being clinical and no-nonsense in clearing danger. Subrata Paul, who has been one of the standout keeper is the Super League is expected to start as the goalkeeper. The defensive pairing of Pavel Cmvos and Manuel Friedrich is expected to make their way into the lineup and feature a Deepak Mondal and Costa in the wing back postions.
While the midfield boasts the central midfield pairing of Jan Stohanzl and Letzelter, the wing comprises of Indian livewire Lalrindika Ralte and Tiago. Ralte is expected to put in a decent but tireless shift, as the Indian International would be forced to trace back Goan players, at times. With Anelka and Subhash upfront Mumbai flaunt a stylish attack force, although this attack has failed to click so far. Anelka is expected to drop a little deep and operate as a second striker while feeding Subhash with through balls.

After bruising Delhi Dynamos 4-1, FC Goa looked right on track to mount a serious threat to the top four. The Gaurs, displayed attacking fluidity with defensive solidity. Zico is expected not to make any changes to his lineup that started against Delhi, and stick to this winning formula.Jan Seda is expected to start as the guardian between the sticks. The imposing defensive pairing of Youness Bengelloun and Gregory Arnolin is expected to start and pose their physical presence on Subhash and Anelka. Meanwhile, Narayan Das is expected to fill in the left back zone and join forces in attack with left winger, Mandar Rao Desai.
Flaunting a midfield which consists Robert Pires and Andre Santos, the Goans are expected to dominate this game. Robert Pries who scored displayed his scintillating form against Delhi, is once again expected to pull string, while featuring as a Central Midfielder. Andre Santos is expected to be deployed behind Ozbey and act as a creative outlet for the Striker.
