Manchester United Target Angel di Maria is headed to France, claim Spanish daily AS.

The Real Madrid winger has been subject to rumors in the past few weeks and has been mainly linked with PSG and Manchester United. It seems that Los Blancos are willing to part with him, for a sizable sum.

AS reported that di Maria’s days as a Real Madrid player are numbered and he is getting his wish of playing in the French capital. They have claimed that Florentino Pérez met with the French club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Madrid and negotiations are at a point that the deal is all but official. Real Madrid will get around €60 million for the di Maria.

Manchester United have also been interested in the player with reports doing rounds that the Red Devils were ready to make a huge offer for the winger. Di Maria’s insistence on playing for a club in the Champions League might have been the main reason for him not being inclined for a move to England, even though van Gaal believed he could convince Di Maria that things would change after the coming season.

While nothing is finalized yet and United might be able to actually land the player, the possibility of that happening looks a little bleak right now.

Real Madrid and United might end up fighting for James Rodriguez if the Manchester side is unable to land di Maria. Express claim that United are preparing a bid for James Rodriguez. Real reportedly had a  verbal agreement with Rodriguez’s agent over a potential transfer to Real. James said that he would love to represent Real Madrid in his career and it seems that the Spanish giants have taken the hint and are willing to spend big to get the Monaco attacker to Madrid. Part of selling di Maria is because the sum they land from his departure would be essential in the capture of young James. Monaco have told Real Madrid they will need to pay €90 million [£70m] for Rodriguez. The 22 year old was quoted as saying he would prefer a move to Spain.

“I’ve said in the past that I’d like to play in Spain one day, because it is a league that is good technically, and where you get a lot of touches on the ball, which is my style,” said Rodriguez according to Daily Mirror.

“The Premier League is maybe a bit physical at this stage. But I am a Monaco player and I’m not thinking about anything like that at the moment. I am now just concentrating on Brazil, which is going to be a wonderful experience for us.”
