Russian club Zenit St Petrsburg have made an offer to Inter for Fredy Guarin but the midfielder is stalling the transfer as he wants to join Manchester United.
Manchester United are running out of time to sign quality midfielder in this transfer window and the club is set to make a bid for the Colombian midfielder in next couple of days. Russian side Zenit St Petrsburg have already made an approach to Inter for Guarin but the player himself has asked the club to wait for Manchester United’s offer.
Reports coming from Italy have also confirmed the eagerness of Guarin to join Red Devils. Italian daily Corriere Dello Sport report claims that: “Fredy Guarin is stalling on an offer from Zenit Saint Petersburg as he wants to join Manchester United. The Russian club, now managed by former Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas, have put forward a bid to Inter Milan for Guarin but he is holding out for a better proposal.”
Inter Milan manager Walter Mazzari is keen to hold onto Guarin but the player has set his heart on a move away from San Siro this summer as he feels that he might not get enough playing time this season.
Manchester United were linked with a move for Guarin last summer also but the deal failed to materialize. But new manager Louis van Gaal is keen to sign at least one top class midfielder this summer and sees Guarin as perfect candidate.
Angel di Maria has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer but the club is finding it difficult to agree on a transfer fee with Real Madrid.
