Manchester United are on verge of signing Nigel De Jong while club is ready to off load many of its unwanted players on the last day of this transfer window.

Manchester United has splashed more than 160 million pounds on new signings already but the club is yet to recover its heavy investments. The Old Trafford club has made many of its players available in the market to recover some of their huge investment on 1st September.

Reports coming from England have also confirmed the news of heavy transfer activity which is going to take place at United in last few hours of this transfer window. The Daily Star report claims that: “On the way IN are Dutch pair Nigel de Jong and Daley Blind. United are waiting for AC Milan to give midfielder De Jong the green light to fly to Manchester today to complete a £10million deal. Midfielder Tom Cleverley, 25, could be the first with Aston Villa leading the £7million chase, with Everton and Valencia also interested. Fellow midfielder Shinji Kagawa could return to Borussia Dortmund for £8m and striker Danny Welbeck is in demand with a host of clubs.”

Manchester United have already confirmed that they have a deal in place for Ajax star Daley Blind. The player is expected to complete his medical today and United will formally make his presentation tomorrow. Meanwhile, Manchester United management is working hard to sign Nigel De Jong from AC Milan and they are ready to offer £10 million for the player.

However, AC Milan are reluctant to sale the key player of their starting XI and it would be a big surprise if the Dutch international moves to Manchester United tomorrow. And United management is also in talks with Juventus and Sporting Lisbon, respectively, for midfielders Arturo Vidal and William Carvalho.

There are far too many players in the current Manchester United squad who are not part of Louis van Gaal’s plans and the club is eager to sale them within next 24 hours.

Midfielder Tom Cleverley, 25, is wanted by Aston Villa and Spanish side Valencia. The asking price of Manchester for Cleverley is £7m and the player is most likely to leave Old Trafford in next few hours. Striker Danny Welbeck is in demand with a host of clubs. Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in his services and a loan move is on the cards.

European champions Real Madrid and Juventus are interested in Javier Hernandez while midfielder Anderson is also holding out for a move away from Manchester United. The situation of Marouane Fellaini is not clear yet as his ankle injury is keeping the interested clubs away.
