Manchester United are planning another transfer splurge after this year’s £150m spend and lining up moves for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, Barca’s Dani Alves and Borussia Dortmund star Mats Hummels.

Manchester United have plans to adopt the “Real Madrid model” of spending in the transfer window and the club authorities have asked coach Louis van Gaal to pick his targets regardless of their price.  Manchester United splashed huge money on new signings this summer and the club has plans to spend more money to bring more world class players to become the serious contender for top honors in Europe once again.

Manchester United currently sits at the 4th position in Premier League and coach Louis van Gaal is confident of qualifying for Champions League next season. And to make a serious assault for the title on their return, the Dutchman has asked Manchester United authorities to make moves for the likes of Arjen Robben, Kevin Strootman, Dani Alves and Mats Hummels.

Meanwhile, reports coming from England have also confirmed the plans of Manchester United to splash huge cash next summer. Report of The Guardian has claimed today that: “Manchester United is targeting Roma’s Kevin Strootman, who would cost around £30m, Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels who may be priced up to £35m, Atlético Madrid’s Diego Godín – in the region of £25m – Barcelona’s Dani Alves, for around £15m, and may potentially move for Arjen Robben, with the Bayern Munich winger costing no less than £40m.”

There was a complete overhaul of Manchester United’s squad during this summer as the club signed 9 new players while many were allowed to leave, either on loan or on permanent basis. This trend is expected to continue as the club has planned another huge outlay for next summer.

Manchester United’s defence has looked vulnerable this season and signing a top quality defender is going to be the first priority for Van Gaal. Mats Hummels of BVB is the top target of the Dutchman and Manchester United believe that an offer worth 35 million pounds would be sufficient to get their man.

Another area of reinforcement which is targeted by Manchester United is right-back. Dani Alves is almost certain to leave FC Barcelona next summer and the club is confident of signing the Brazilian by beating the competition of PSG and Arsenal.

Arjen Robben of Bayern Munich has emerged as a new target of Manchester United as coach Louis van Gaal has asked the club management to go for the Dutch international. Van Gaal has worked with Arjen Robben when he was the coach of Holland national team and believes that a winger would be a great addition to his Manchester United squad.
