Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly preparing a combine £30m bid for his countrymen Jordy Clasie and Bruno Martins Indi.

English newspaper Daily Expres has reported today that: “Holland coach Van Gaal introduced midfielder Clasie and central defender Indi Martins – both 22 – to the Dutch international team in the last two years and they played a big part in securing qualification for Brazil. Now Van Gaal is understood to want to bring them to Old Trafford to help him launch his era as United manager which will offically start in July when the World Cup is over.”

Manchester United finished seventh in the Premier League last season and in an attempt to mark their assault on the title next season, have got a huge transfer budget of £150m for this transfer window. Host of names have been linked with a move to Old Trafford off late and the Dutch duo are the latest ones.

Defence and the midfield are the core areas of concern for Manchester United. Captain Nemanja Vidc has said good bye to Old Trafford, to join Italian giants Inter Milan. While his partner Rio Ferdinand is also no longer part of Manchester United and reportedly, he is close to signing a deal with newly promoted QPR.

Bruno Martins Indi has already made a name for himself as the bright young talent and Van Gaal has also selected him in the Netherlands squad for this World Cup.

Apart from defence, midfield is the area of concern for Manchester United. David Moyes’ signing Maroune Falliani has flopped miserably while Machael Carrick has failed to dictate games like used to do along with Paul Scoles.

Jordy Clasie is an integral member of current Feyenoord side and has been attracting interest from host of European clubs including AC Milan. 22 year old Clasie has made over 98 appearances for Feyenoord since joining them in 2010.

However, considering the familiarity of Louis van Gaal with both these players, deals looks likely. David Moyes, now relieved, was said to be interested in more expensive players like Toni Kroos and Cesc Fabregas but apparently, Van Gaal is not interested in both. However, Van Gaal has given his consent for signing of wing back Luke Shaw.

Another target of Louis van Gaal, Kevin Strootman, is facing a long term lay off due to injure and will not be playing in the World Cup. Van Gaal is closely monitoring his development and will make a move only after knowing his injury status.

Manchester United are also continuously monitoring the situations of their other long term targets like Ander Herrera and Ezequiel Garay as well.
