Atletico Madrid have joined Juventus and Valencia in chase of Manchester United outcast Juan Mata and the club is preparing a £20m offer to lure him away from the Old Trafford club.
Juan Mata has failed to secure a regular place for himself under Louis van Gaal at Manchester United and he is continuously being linked with a move away from the club since past few months.
The current situation of Juan Mata has put many of the Europe’s top clubs on alert and La Liga side Valencia C.F. and Italian champions Juventus are on the trail of the player since past many days. Now, the Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have also joined the race to sign Juan Mata and the capital club is preparing an offer worth £20m for the Manchester United player.
Meanwhile, reports coming from England and Spain have also confirmed the entry of Atletico Madrid in chase of Juan Mata. Spanish website Fichajes.net report has claimed today that: “Atletico Madrid are preparing a 25m euros bid for the former Chelsea man after being alerted to his availability. Mata’s former club Valencia and Italian giants Juventus are also interested in the 26-year-old but Madrid are in pole position.”
Juan Mata joined Manchester United from Chelsea in January 2014 but the Spaniard has failed to secure a regular place for himself in the starting line-up of Red Devils.
Manchester United appointed Louis van Gaal as a new manager this summer and the arrival of the Dutchman coincided with the huge splash of cash on new players like Ander Herrera, Angel di Maria, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo.
Juan Mata is not in the future plans of Manchester United coach Louis van Gaal and the Dutchman has given a green signal to the sale of the player to the club management. However, in spite of getting limited chances to prove himself, Juan Mata has performed extremely well for Manchester United whenever he has got the opportunity and there is no shortage of suitors for this talented attacker.
Atletico Madrid have started the new season on strong note as they have collected 23 points from first 10 games of La Liga but coach Diego Simeone wants to strengthen his squad further in January.
Alessio Cerci joined Atletico Madrid this summer but the Italian has failed to impress the coach Diego Simeone so far and the Rojiblancos management is ready to sale him in January to free some cash for the signing of Juan Mata.
