Alberto Moreno is reportedly dropping his wage demands to push for a move to Liverpool and Pepe Reina might be off to Bayern Munich.

Moreno has been linked with a move to Anfield all summer long and the Reds were said to have made two notable approaches to land the Spaniard. The first one was early on in the window and it was reported that the player was on his way with his father to Liverpool, to undergo a medical. Moreno reportedly agreed personal terms with the Reds earlier this summer, only to see talks between Liverpool and Sevilla be unsuccessful. They were offering 16m, but the Spanish club didn’t go below their valuation of 20m. A second approach was reportedly made when Iago Aspas joined Sevilla on loan. Rumors of a deal being back on started doing rounds but Ian Ayre, Liverpool’s CEO returned to UK without having negotiated a purchase of the 22 year old.

It was then brought to the fore that Brendan Rodgers was looking at other targets. None of the left back targets could also be attained- Chelsea refused to sell Bertrand to the Reds and he was instead loaned to Southampton; Ben Davies was sold to Tottenham so that Sigurdsson could go other way.

It seems that the La Liga side are finally willing to let their academy product head over to the Premier League as it has been reported on various reliable media outlets that Sevilla had accepted a £16m bid from Liverpool and Brendan Rodger’s search for a new left back was finally set to be over.

Fresh reports in Spain claim that Moreno is set to reduce his wage demands to ensure there are no end-minute collapses. Liverpool are understood to be finalizing the finer details of a deal with the Andalusian club and it seems that Moreno is keen to do his part and ensure he gets to move to last season’s Premier League runners up.

Pepe Reina Off To Bayern Munich?

The Spaniard joined Liverpool on the tour after spending last season on loan at Napoli. After the arrival of Simon Mignolet last season, it was clear that Reina won’t be the number one choice for Liverpool. He came back from his one-season long loan and ever since, his future seems uncertain. A number of sides, notably Napoli, have shown interested in signing the player but his £110,000 per week salary has put off the interested clubs

He joined Liverpool in the pre-season tour of USA but trained away from the main group during most sessions and wasn’t even named among the substitutes for any of the matches. It seems certain that he doesn’t have a future with the club. Reports were making rounds that Liverpool would terminate Reina’s contract by mutual consent.

Reports now suggest that Bayern Munich are set to sign the Spaniard for a fee in the region of just €2m (£1.5m). The Liverpool goalkeeper will team up with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola. He would obviously play back up to Manuel Neur, but in Reina, Guardiola would get a great cover for the World Cup winner. And for a meager amount.
