Highly rated French starlet Antoine Greizmann has revealed his desire to play for “big European clubs”

Real Sociedad winger Antoine Greizmann has been a subject of interest from a host of European clubs after enjoying an incredibly prolific season. The 23 year old scored 20 times and grabbed an assist for the La Liga side in 49 appearances in all competitions.

Premier League runners-up Liverpool recently stepped-up their interest in the French international starlet by sending scouts to witness the Frenchman in action. Arsene Wenger admitted earlier this year that Arsenal were interested in acquiring his services and were following his progress. Manchester United scout David Friio also revealed his club’s interest in signing the 23-year-old. Other Premier League clubs also interested in the player include Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur with French giants PSG also interested in the player.

The French star is capable of playing in all attacking positions but his preferred position is that of a winger, and is mostly employed on the left flank. He is amazingly fast and creates ample of chances for his teammates. His finishing is also good and he is not afraid of one on one situations and likes to take on opposition defenders.

Griezmann has said that he is ambitious and revealed his interest in playing for a big club:

“I don’t really think about it (transfer speculation) – I have agents to manage that. They haven’t told me anything so far. I am ambitious and if I left it would only be for a very big European club.

“If PSG showed an interest I would talk with my officials and agents. PSG is a great club that is achieving something nice. I don’t favour any team – but PSG is a destination that attracts a lot of players.”

Greizmann’s impressive form got him noticed by France coach Didier Deschamps and he revealed his surprise at being able to represent his nation at the World Cup.

“I really didn’t expect to part of the list. Wearing the French team shirt is a dream and an honour”, said the 23 year old

The services of the French star won’t come cheap though with Soceidad not likely to take anything lesser than £25 million. With the amount of clubs interested in the player, the La Liga club could benefit from a huge profit as a bidding war in likely to happen. Liverpool need a left winger in their ranks and have identified Greizmann as the player they want to fill the position with. It has been widely reported that fellow Soceidad player and striker Carlos Vela will be returning to Arsenal this summer as Wenger  is now ready to activate the very low buy back clause of €4 million. Reports suggest that Arsenal’s interest in the attacker is also strong and the player might also be on his way to the Emirates in the summer.
