Juventus is in talks with the Chile Internationals agent over a summer transfer
The Italian giants Juventus have shown their interest in buying the Chilean from Barcelona at a staggering price of 20 million Euros.
The former Serie A player, who played for Udinese, had moved to Barcelona 3 years ago and it is believed that if everything goes according to the plan, is all set to make a come-back this season.
Alexis Sanchez enjoyed a great run in the 2013/14 season, where he scored 19 goals and 10 assists in 34 appearances.
Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta didn’t deny the possibility of the Chilean’s potential transfer to Juventus, although he believed that the price tagged to his transfer is a steep one.
“Sanchez is a great player and every top club would like him, so clearly Juventus would also love to have him,” He spoke while addressing to Sky Italia.
“We must take into account he is also a very expensive player and it must also be seen what he wants.” underlining the fact that the price might be an issue for them.
Even if both the parties come to an agreeable end, there are still some other matters needed to be resolved by Juventus.
Juventus coach Antonio Conte, whose future at the club is still not decided, is a major concern for the club. The club has achieved magnimonus success under the flagship of Conte, winning 2 Serie A titles in 3 years.
It is believed that the transfer of Alexis Sanchez is dependent on Conte’s staying at Juventus.
“Juve are always linked with a lot of players. At the moment, we are waiting to define the situation with the coach, then we will try to look for flexible players.” Beppe Marotta confirmed on the coach issue in the same interview.
Juventus is not the only club who is chasing Alexis Sanchez, Liverpool has also shown interest in the Chilean International. The reds are looking to consolidate their squad for the upcoming Champions League.
According to reports Liverpool are ready to splash out as many as 18 million euros for the transfer. Though Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers told the Daily Star Sunday that no offer had been made yet.
It has been reported that the Chilean is not happy at Camp Nou because of lack of match starts, and he wants to move out of Barcelona this season.
