A battered and bruised Delhi Dynamos side, reeling at the bottom of the table take on a high flying Kerala Blasters. Although only two points separate the two teams, there is a huge and hefty gap of form and style of play. While Delhi has failed to click in the midfield, which amounts to problems upfront, Kerala Blasters has failed to convert their created chances. Both teams would be looking to win this match and as David James confidently said in his pre match press conference ” We wont be coming here (Delhi) for a draw. I dont know how to play a game of football, where you come to draw, every match we play, we play to win” , Kerala Blasters like James points out would be looking to uplift themselves and would be hoping for a win.

Meanwhile David James was all praise for the young Indian Sandesh Jhinghan, Jhinghan has been one of the key performers in the Kerala Blasters side and he has operated as a left back and as a center back.

“He (Sandesh) has played two times in each position ( as a left back and as a center back), so I am working on his position”

“Sandesh is a great example of what I found here in Indian football, I believe he was an established center back, before the ISL started. He is versatile, and at the moment I dont know what his best position is, I do know that every time he goes on the field, he comes off absolutely shattered because he has given his 100% percent” added James.

Although the Kerala Blasters would be looking for a win that would elate them 12 points and into the coveted Semi Final berths, Delhi Dynamos have plans of their own to rue Kerala’s party.

“Of course there is pressure to win, there always is, we have to handle that. As a coach I have to bring my team together and stick together” said Delhi’s coach Harm van Veldhoven

The Dutchman concluded that the team was very nervous in its last encounter against FC Goa.

“I was surprised on how nervous the team was.” he added.

Meanwhile, the Dutch gaffer gathered his troops for battle under the battle cry of ‘give what you have’.

“We have to go on, give what you have dont worry, we have enough quality to go on” he concluded

While Delhi Dynamos take on Kerala Blasters, all eyes would be set upon Alessandro del Piero, as he has been in the thick of failing to score goals.
