FC Goa’ s logo was unveiled at a gala event in Panjim. The franchise gathered major attention after they declared to launch a Satellite TV channel of the club. The TV channel would be first channel owned by a sports club in India. It will have all the news related to the club and the players. FC Goa has done almost all the right thing off the field till now, but as they say your product has to be good to market it and in the game of the football you need good players as the best product. FC Goa will have to show their class on the field to complement their various activities off the field. Here are the five players who would have a major responsibility to keep the FC Goa flag high in the country when they play in the Indian Super League.

Miroslav Slepicka, Czech International striker has entered  early thirties and was sidelined by his former club Spart Praque for a major period of time last season. The striker was eventually released. The striker would take this opportunity to show what he got in the Indian super league. The striker has spent a major part of his career in the Czech top division and also has the experience of playing in Croatia for some time. He would be coming in India with the vast experience under his belt.

Miroslav would be the key target man for the FC Goa and will have to take major responsibility to provide goals for his new club. It will be hard for the striker to come straight from the Europe and adjust to the humid condition in Goa. He will have to adjust to the condition in whatever little time he get prior to the league.

Gregory Arnolin

Gregory Amolin was among the costliest bracket in the International players draft, but surprisingly he was picked up in the last round. The French defender will come into the league with the high reputation of playing some of the top clubs in the French league. He even has the experience of playing in the Spanish La Liga where he faced the likes of Christian Ronaldo and Lionel Messi playing for Sporting Gijon. The centre back is expected to partner his country mate Youness Bengellioun in the heart of the defense for FC Goa. His partnership with Youness would be one of the key factors in the success of Gregory as well as the team.

Gregory got international exposure when he decided to play for Martinique in the 2013 CONCACAF GOLD CUP. He made his debut against Canada in the same tournament and will be raring to make an impact in the Indian Super League.

Every team in the Indian Super league was looking for a good foreign goalkeeper. A goalkeeper in the league like Indian Super league could decide the fate of the match and maybe of the league. FC Goa would feel they are lucky to get the goalkeeper of the calibre of Jan Seda. FC Goa has inexperienced goalkeeper as the backup so Jan has to be at his best throughout the league. The Czech Custodian has recently played in the Dutch top division for RKC Waalwijik. He will not just have a responsibility to defend opponenent scoring the goals, but also share is his experience with the young goalkeepers in the team.

The wide midfielder can surprise the opponents with his quick change of the pace and his measured crosses. He is not only known to assist the team in scoring the goals, but also scoring some vital goals. The winger has played 43 times for his country and over 200 matches for his club side in I-league. His vast experience will help team in the league and his performance would be decisive for the franchise.

The India International will also have to play a crucial role off the field of making new players in the country comfortable. He has been an ambassador for Goan and Indian football for over a decade now and he would be proud to represent his state franchise in the league.

Bruno Pinheiro

Portuguese junior international Bruno Filip Tavares Pinheiro is a utility player and can play as a center back as well as a defensive midfielder. The Portuguese has vital experience of playing in the top sides in the Europe and this will be his first assignment in the Asia. He recently down the color of Niki Volos F.C. In the Greek football league helping them earn a promotion in the Greece Super League. The player is brilliant in breaking down the attacks and known for his precise passing. He would be a vital figure in the middle of the part of FC Goa in the league.

He will not find difficult to adjust in Goa because the similarity and connection his country had with Goa. All will depend on how well he performs for the franchise.
