Alwyn George in Action in AFC U-22 Qualifiers

Alwyn George

The franchise will have depth in the midfield and all the experience needed to perform at the level of ISL. Clifford Miranda and Peter Carvalho have tons of experience and will come handy for the franchise. The duo has been a mainstay for their I-league side Dempo sports clubs for an over a decade now. There are some exciting names like Gabriel, Mandar, Romeo and Pranoy who can be seen in the national team colours very soon. The youngsters are very talented and will provide much needed thrust in the midfield.

Mandar Rao Desai has captained Goa-India in the Lusofonia games in the full house fatorda stadium. The speedy winger would like to relieve that atmosphere in the ISL and his experience of playing in the u-23 side recently would come handy for the franchise. The Mapusa lad has loads of trickery and he is  amazing to watch when is in full form.

Alwyn George is one player who can be called only player in India at the moment who could play at number 10. He is rated very highly by Dempo Sports club head coach and Goa ISL franchise assistant coach Arthur Papas. Romeo Fernandes by now has become known face in the Goan football and Indian football, but youngster would take this opportunity to garner a few more fans. The nippy winger has been with Dempo sports club senior team for quite some time now. He has represented India u-23 team and experience of playing there would be handy. The Goa ISL franchise has loads of talented youngster in the midfield and it would be a big learning curve with these players to rub shoulder with some of the best in the business. It will be beneficial for the Indian team in a long run.

ForwardsHolicharan Narzary

The forward line looks weak at the moment with only Holicharan Narzary in the mix. The youngster has experience of playing for India u-23 team, but not know to score the goals. He really has to work hard to get places in the team. The franchise is expected to sign foreign players in the striking position which will make him really hard to get the place. He should take this is a good learning experience and pick a few tricks from the senior players in the team. The striker has the talent and if get correct guidance can make it big in coming few years.

The franchise has not signed overseas players and they are expected to pick them from the foreign player draft. The franchise is rumoured to have signed former West Browmich Albion Manager Steve Clarke. The franchise has best Indian players in the squad they just need to get good overseas players in the draft. The kind of Indian lineup Goa ISL franchise have, any opponent would have to be at their best to  beat them
