After two successive wins, Delhi Dynamos would be looking to grab all three points against Ateltico de Kolkata at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi. Coach Harm van Veldhoven expressed his thoughts on the current run of Delhi form, and was more than impressed with his sides clinical display last time around against Mumbai City FC.
“We are in the winning mood, and we have to win!” said Veldhoven
“We are playing better and better every game. As there are only three games left before the semifinals, we have to win and obtain the vital three points. We are currently two points behind the number four spot, where we would like to be,”
Delhi are also struggling with injuries and marquee player Alessandro del Piero was suffering a ‘stomach upset’ according to the coach.
““Pavel Eliáš needs an operation on his shoulder and Wim Raymaekers is out for a few weeks. Further, we have a few problems with Robert Lalthlamuana and Bruno Herrero Arias who might not be able to play tomorrow. We are not happy about this situation but it is good to see other players standing up and filling in the positions.”
Meanwhile, Atletico de Kolkata’s coach Antonio Habas expects a tough encounter against Delhi Dynamos and thinks that this could be a fiery and fiesty clash.
““Our previous encounter with Delhi was our third game and it was their second game. Both teams have played many games since then, but we are still expecting the same tough game from the Delhi side. They are a good team and I like the way they play. This is an important game for us and we will try to get the three points.”
Although Delhi Dynamos fight for a place in the coveted semi-final spots, Atletico de Kolkata are already enjoying life in the coveted zone.
