30 Year Old Brazilian Striker Nilmar might be on his way to India, according to reports.
Nilmar, started his playing career with Brazilian club Internacional wherein he went on score 16 goals in 42 appearances. Much of his 12 year long playing career has been spread out in Brazil, with only Spain’s Villareal and France’s Lyon benefiting from the strikers exploits. He went on to score 23 goals for the ‘yellow submarine’ in 82 appearances and a brace in 30 appearances for the latter.
Plying his trade as a striker who often drops deep to collect balls, Nilmar has been capped 23 times for Brazil wherein he found the net 9 times. He also scored the famous hatrick in a 4-2 win over Chile in 2009.
Nilmar has also applied his trade in the continent of Asia, playing as prominent figure in the Al Rayyan side, where he would score an exciting 16 goals in 35 appearances. Later he would join another Asian Team, El Jaish.
Nilmar who is a free agent now, was approached by a representative of an anonymous Indian Super League Franchisee. If reports are to be believed, the representative has offered a lucrative deal to the Brazilian. Rivaling the offers from his parent club Internacional the ISL Franchisee is hell bent on bringing Nilmar to India, and add to the quantity of stars already present in the subcontinent.
