Real Madrid are on the verge of completing the James Rodriguez deal after his arrival in Madrid on Sunday.

After the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, Real Madrid are about to welcome Colombian star midfielder James Rodriguez at Santiago Bernabeu. It is reported that Real Madrid will splash as much as 80 million Euros for the young midfielder’s transfer from Monaco and the Spanish giants are ready to complete the deal by Wednesday. The 10 time European champions will sign a 6 year deal with Rodriguez, binding him with the club till 2020.

Rodriguez, who was the star of recently concluded World Cup received many accolades for his impressive performances including the Golden Boot award with 6 goals in 5 matches and he found himself on the radar of many top European clubs ever since. It was reported that Manchester United and Real Madrid were leading the race to obtain the Colombian international’s duties, but it’s Santiago Bernabeu where the dynamic midfielder is heading for.

Rodriguez has emerged as one of the best young player in current arena after his recent World Cup heroics. A player known for his fantastic dribbling skills and exquisite pace, Rodriguez has got the ability to find empty spaces in the opposition half. His ability and audacity to score goals from difficult angles has already drawn comparisons with the likes of Ronaldo and Bale. His goal against Uruguay in the World Cup round of 16 match, where he cushioned the ball on his chest before striking a thunderous volley from just outside the penalty area, stands testimony to his supernatural abilities.

If everything goes according to the plan and Real completes the deal successfully. The next season will see Real Madrid playing with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez in the midfield, a combination capable of destroying any defense in the World.

Real Madrid have already signed Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos last week and the European champions will now look to balance their books by selling some of their current players.

Manchester United have already shown interest in acquiring Argentine International Angel di Maria and despite Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti’s reluctance to sell the player, Real management may opt to sell him to cover up the expenses of these two humongous deals.

Besides Maria, Arsenal are pushing hard to midfielder buy Sami Khedira and with only 1 year left for his contract to expire, Real Madrid are also moving quickly to seal the deal.
