With Delhi Dynamos set to take on FC Pune City, finally the razzmatazz has arrived in the capital, the robust city of Delhi. A match featuring two iconic figures, and team-mates at Juventus, Alessandro del Piero and David Trezeguet, is sure to captivate the depraving football audience in Delhi.
Both Alessandro del Piero and David Trezeguet, will be facing each other as opponents for the very first in their footballing careers.
“This will be the first time that I will be playing against Alessandro and it’s definitely a new experience for me” said an elated David Trezeguet
Strumming along the same note, del Piero, expressed his thoughts on Trezeguet, “It should be interesting! We did talk about it a couple of days back and discussed how it will be. Both of us will give our best and the rest shall unfold as its destined to be.”
However, Del Piero did not feature for the Delhi Dyanmo’s friendly matches, and there were rumors of him carrying an injury. Putting the rumors to bed, he said ” Definitely I am fit, I have been training with the team for almost a month now and although I haven’t played any of the practice matches, I am definitely looking forward to the game against Pune City”
While this will be a new experience for these two legends, others, will partake in a heated battle for three points.
“I am really happy that the competition has started and am now looking forward to kick start our campaign. All the work that the team has put in over the past few weeks should pay dividends. Overall I believe we have a balanced squad and that should show starting tomorrow.” said Delhi Dynamo’s coach Harm van Veldhoven.
“We have adapted well, though I feel the ground could have been a little wider which would have suited our style of play a little more.Also, no injury worries whatsoever yet, we have our entire squad at our disposal for tomorrow.” he concluded.
Franco Colomba, FC Pune City’s Gaffer would also be looking to flex his muscles, and display a good performance, which could lead them to their first ever three points.
“Winning the first match is always important. It will bolster the mental strength of the players. We had a week-long training camp at Fiorentina and the experience was good. Hope it helps us against the Delhi Dynamos.” said the Italian, who would be rammed by injuries to Joaquim Abranches, Pratik Shinde and David Colomba.
A fixture, which promises to be as lightning as Delhi’s Chandini Chowk, is supposed to be attended by FIFA Royalty Jérôme Valcke, General Secretary of FIFA. According to reports, JLN Stadium, which can contain 60,000 people, is set to be a full house. Moreover, there would also be celebrity appearances from Ayushman Khurana and Parineeti Chopra.
