Delhi Dynamos are up for it. The team from the capital won’t go down meekly. Match forty seven of the Hero Indian Super League presents a critical clash between Delhi Dynamos FC and Atletico de Kolkata. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi has seen the best and the worst of the home side and the team in orange would be hoping to end the home match streak on a high. Both the teams are slotted in the middle of the table, and with teams so tightly coupled, any points lost or won today could have a huge impact on the final standings. A semi final spot is up for grabs- and both the teams know it.

Team News And Tactical Brief

Delhi Dynamos:

The side from the capital got all their cards right against Mumbai City FC. Coach Veldhoven it seems has found the right combination through out the pitch. Now the Delhi Dynamos will be looking to keep the momentum and garner their third consecutive victory today.  Van Heldhoven however has some injury problems to deal with. Wim Raymaekers and Pavel Ellias are both out for this match due to injuries. On top of that, both Robert Lalthlamuana and Bruno Herrero Arias are doubtful to make the starting line up today. New players have certainly injected a much needed pace and enthusiasm in the team and the Belgian coach would be once again looking at his bench to bolster his plans. The Brazilian maverick Dos Santos is expected to start the match with Del Piero again warming the bench, reportedly due to a stomach upset . Portuguese defender Dinis will be again slotted alongside Mulder for fulfilling the holding role with Captain Hans given a free licence. 4-3-3 again looks on the cards for the home side with Francis Fernandes and Mama accompanying Dos Santos in attack. Souvik Chakraborty will be availablefor this match after he served a one match ban.

Probable Starting XI (4-3-3): Van Hout(GK), Naoba, Anwar Ali, Houben, Souvik Ghosh, Hans Mulder(c), Junker, Bruno, Shylo Malswamtulunga, Francis, Dos Santos.

Atletico de Kolkata

The Sourav Ganguly owned side started the ISL season with a bang. The Red-&-Blue stripes rocked at the top of table for a better half of the season. But lately the side experienced something more than just a blip. After another draw against a struggling Pune City FC, Antonio Habas’  side has now has only one victory in their last seven games going into this match. The Kolkata based side has now slipped to third place in the league standings and are now feeling a bit edgy about a play off spot.

Luis Garcia would once again be a key figure in the middle of the park with Borja and Jofre. The trio would have a simple plan of bringing the dangerous Fikru in the game. The Ethopian international has already netted four crucial goals and will be eager to add more to his kitty against a relatively inexperienced Delhi defense.  Josemi would be leading the defence with India international Arnab Mondal keeping solid at the back. The Kolkata defense has leaked in five goals in as many matches and Coach Habas will be planning to curb that today in the capital.

Probable Sarting XI (4-2-3-1): Roy, Baljit, Mondal, Josemi, Mohandas, Nato, Borja, Jofre, Lester, Garcia, Fikru.

Delhi Dynamos FC 2 – 1 Atletico de Kolkata

The Delhi based club has got the bit between it’s teeth. It was quite evident from the way the Orange brigade took to their previous home match against Mumbai. On the other hand, Atletico de Kolkata haven’t tasted triumph in their last two games and would be low on confidence with some jitters.
