Chelsea FC have travelled to France with Samuel Eto’o and Ashley Cole as they prepare to face PSG in the Champions League quarter-final tie.

Jose Mourinho doesn’t have any new injury concerns to contain with ahead of this crucial encounter, but he will be missing some key players tonight. Winter signing Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah are ineligible to play for Chelsea in this year’s competition having already played for Benfica and Basel respectively. This means Mourinho will have limited options in his midfield in Europe.

There are some concerns about the fitness of David Luiz, who was substituted at half time in the match against Crystal Palace after receiving a knock on his shin. Although the Brazilian defender has travelled with the squad, he will be assessed closer to kick-off and could start this match on the bench. Samuel Eto’o on the other hand has missed the trip as he has struggled to recover from the hamstring problem he encounter in the match against Arsenal and was taken off in the first 10 minutes of the game. But the former Barcelona striker is expected to recover in time for Chelsea’s next Premier League match, against Stoke City on Saturday.

Ashley Cole, whose last appearance for the Blues was in the 1-0 win over Stoke City back in January, is yet to regain match fitness and has been left out of the 19-man squad that has travelled to Paris. Marco van Ginkel remains the only other concern at the moment. The 21-year-old has made good progress recently, but is still long way from making his return to the first team squad.

Jose Mourinho opted for a 4-3-3 formation against Crystal Palace and that didn’t quite work out well on the day. He is expected to revert back to a more conventional 4-2-3-1 formation for this game and make three changes to the starting line-up he used at the weekend. Willian and Oscar will return to the side in place of Andre Schurrle and David Luiz, while Ramires, who served his domestic suspension against Crystal Palace, will return to the midfield in place of Nemanja Matic.

Expected starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Cech (GK); Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta; Ramires, Lampard; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Torres
