Paul Pogba’s agent has insisted his client will not leave Juventus in the summer amid reports of Chelsea making a huge bid doing rounds

Paul Pogba’s future at Juventus seems uncertain as reports have been doing rounds that a host of top European clubs are interested in the player. Real Madrid, Manchester United have all been linked with the young French star through the course of the window. Recent reports suggest that Chelsea are interested in making Pogba their record summer signing and are pondering a £60m bid for the Juventus star. It is understood that Jose Mourinho is interested in pairing Pogba with Nemanja Matic and add further steel to the midfield. Chelsea have already spent a considerable sum for Cesc Fabregas, who they acquired from Barcelona, earlier this month. Fabregas has been roped in as a direct replacement for departing Frank Lampard.

In a bid to persuade the player to move to the club, has stated that Pogba could be offered a huge salary that would include him in the top earners of the club alongside Fernando Torres, Eden Hazard, John Terry and recent arrival Cesc Fabregas.

The player has two years remaining on his current deal and Juventus are fully intent on not letting their prized asset leave the club. Giuseppe Marotta, the general manager of the Serie A club, said last month: “We intend to extend Pogba’s contract and we have already spoken with his agent. Paul is a smart guy and this is the perfect place for him to improve further. You cannot imagine him leaving Juventus.”

Paul’s agent, Mino Raiola has now gone on record and stated that his client will- in all probability- be staying with the Serie A club next season.

“We have decided not to speak of the transfer market with regards to Paul until after the World Cup. But I can calmly say that his future will still be at Juventus, where he feels very happy.”, he said to Italian TV station Rai Sport.

Pogba himself hinted at staying with the Italian giants. He spoke in an interview, “I hear reports placing Pogba here and Pogba there. I haven’t spoken to Juve regarding what I hear and there’s nothing. Recently the press spoke about me getting a telephone call from (Real Madrid assistant coach) Zidane to join Real. I have not received a recent call nor have we exchanged numbers. My aim? To win another Scudetto, why not?”

The 21-year-old is currently with his country at the World Cup and has established himself as a key player for both club and country. His free transfer from Manchester United two years ago has resulted in a lot of mockery for the 20 time English League champions. He made 36 appearances in the league last season, scoring seven goals and setting up another seven in the 2013-14 campaign. He has quickly become a fan favourite and was a key player in the club’s Serie A triumph this season.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the player as they want to make amends and bring the talented youngster back. But it looks highly unlikely that Pogba will leave Juventus for the Manchester club. With Chelsea constantly lurking, and offering him a very lucrative deal, it seems that if the Frenchman does decide to move out of Italy, it could be for Jose Mourinho’s team.
